DW and I

Jun. 5th, 2009 03:38 pm
A quick flip through ljArchive tells me that I've posted 2250 posts and some crazily bizarre number of comments. I've flopped around this enough that I received an invite code from [livejournal.com profile] rysler and now am playing around with the whole DW concept.

Note #1: All fiction, drabbles, poems, ficlets, things that I wrote randomly will be archived over there but none of the comments will be copied over. I'll probably go through and delete the usual 'news' articles and whatnots that I post here. This here lj remains the primary place where I ramble and muse at whim.

Note #2: No comments will be ported over. I know that I talked about it in Note #1, but I felt a separate note would be helpful. I do ljArchive my lj every so often, but in the interest of other people may not want to be on DW, no comments will be moved over.
that annoy the heck outta me.

Citibank (whatever) cards just finished this long promotional call (protecting against identity theft!) and hung up on me (as opposed to saying goodbye and ending the call)...

What's with the "you can pay a fee of 69.99 to (whatever service) and register all your (credit cards, debit cards, gas cards, whatever important information) and we (the service) will monitor it for you and prevent identity theft" concept. It's one thing if someone steals my wallet and plunders the AmEx for a joy-shopping thing. It's another thing if someone hacks a database and plunders all this "important" information and masquerades as me.

I'm not going to pay someone else to do something that I'm already doing right now.
