Falling into a field
of spring daffodils -
surrounded
by a million hues
of yellow sunshine.
The petal softness
becomes the first layer of touch
against the sun-kissed nipples.
A slash of saffron
reveals a slight smile,
brilliant against
the early morning shadows.
Every daffodil dolefully sways
against the breeze
that ruffles their edges,
and hums the morning song.
