Random request...

Dear f-list:

Recommend me some books to read, fics to read, movies to watch, music to listen to, and things to write about.

I'm in the middle of this 'bidness' of uploading and updating bits of poems that haven't seen the light of day since... forever, and need something to distract myself from pulling every single strand of hair out.

The book/fic/movie/music/subject recommendations will probably last me through the summer.

As it is right now, I've got the Carpenters playing, as well as Patti Lupone.
