Rec's request...

In light of the impending multiple hour driving excursion to some city that's named after a fruit? or else, refers to itself as a fruit? I'm asking of recommendations of music to play on the way there (and back).

My mp3 tends too much to Broadway (read: Sondheim) that I'm certain my passenger will kill me before I even get to the border. O+O; And death in a car would be very messy, not to mention, I'd be quite an unhappily dead spirit... and well, it's not good all the way around.

Road trip songs. Yes. I need sufficient suggestions to fill eight hours (yes, from TO to NYC should be 8.5 hours without pause) but I drive... efficiently ;)
