Broadway's Rent Will Close in June

The Broadway production of Rent will end its award-winning run at the Nederlander Theatre in June.

The Jonathan Larson musical will play its final performance June 1, according to The New York Times. The musical is the seventh-longest-running show in Broadway history.

Playbill: Broadway's Colella Joins Cast for New Off-Broadway Run of Beebo Brinker Chronicles

It's interesting to see this play have a life beyond off-off-Broadway. I was asked to attend one of the performances since I knew (by proxy) someone with the Hourglass Group. However, schedules never meshed up well enough for me to go. :/ Friends that did go, raved about the show.

Broadway actress Jenn Colella will join the original cast members of The Beebo Brinker Chronicles for the new limited run of Kate Moira Ryan and Linda S. Chapman's play at 37 Arts.
