Letter Meme - C
Feb. 18th, 2008 08:27 pmSo
ainsleyaisling gave me "C".
Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. Afterward, post this in your journal and give out some letters of your own.
1. Company. The Sondheim show. I'm really looking forward to February 20 when the latest revival of the show (filmed at the end of its run) will be broadcast on PBS. The tunes are catchy, and Robert is the quintessential conflicted character that draws me in - not by his songs per se, but by those around him. :) All three US cast recordings (1970 OBC, 1995 RBC, and 2006 RBC) plus the casts from Brazil and Germany and even the London release. :) Yes, there's a lot of Company on my MP3 player ;)
2. Cole Porter. Some of my favourite jazz artists have done some wonderful Porter interpretations. It also never hurts that Ms LuPone revived Reno Sweeney in Porter's Anything Goes. :)
3. Cake. YaY! :) Actually - more cupcakes... or even, ice cream cakes. Or cupcakes with ice cream. :D
4. Chips. I hear 'chips' and I end up with an image of Ms Kassebaum with cat ears and a bag of chips. :)
5. Christy. Just because she suggested it. :P
6. Chicago, Curtains, and Cabaret. Three Kander and Ebb shows - two of which I've seen. I saw Chicago because Bebe Neuwirth was back in the show as Roxie *G* and I had a lot of fun :) I saw Curtains with its original cast because I wanted to see David Hyde Pierce and Debra Monk on stage. Our partial view front row seats to the side were worth all the stress of trying to navigate NYC streets during Friday night rush hour. Cabaret was being performed by the UC Follies this past weekend, but I think I'll have to settle for seeing the movie. :)
7. Crimson and cerulean - a shade of red and a shade of blue that I like. :)
8. Coffee, Coke, and caffeine. Yes. Useful drinks. :) That, and water and cranberry juice. :)
9. Croissants. The crisp kind. :) I had some fantastic ones in France and also Belgium. :)
10. The Count. From Sesame Street. He was all kinds of awesome... and the thunder and lightning in the background :)
