So.
If the Bad News Bears actually left Avenue Q, I'm fairly certain that they'd take up semi-permanent residence in my brain. Or else, that lofty space between the ears that sometimes has a "To Let" sign inside.
Several things: the way the work has been going this week, I'm fairly certain that I'm going to be somewhere else within six months if not sooner. Six being the long end of things (a case of -- I'll take my vacation to NYC thanks) and four being the mid length of things. Of course, if the efforts to create an untenable work place continue (as they have for this entire week), I might be looking at possibilities even sooner.
As it goes, the work mail is monitored (and since only work occurs there, that's not a problem), I'm just as certain that my own worklist is tilting towards the (Let's overload and demonstrate that H is a putz) factor versus the (H is very arrogant and deserves to be taken down several pegs) factor. Both of these things seem to be happening simultaneously.
So far, I haven't seen the just cause effect [for termination] go into play, but it's getting f*ing annoying to know that I wake up and head into a hostile environment and where the chief draftsman (a peer level cow-orker) and the department manager (my direct report) are going to be actively trying to sabotage anything I do. Worse, the manager will tolerate/accept/turn a blind eye to the bad behavior of the CD. So yeah.
Oh yes, to top all of this, the lovely stress was enough to induce a nosebleed, so work was a great bundle of joy - nose bleeding onto a dark green shirt. O+o;
Or else, this misery could end pre-October 1 [year end inventory madness]. In which case, I'm taking my brain, my bat, and my ball, and leaving this lovely sandbox.
I'll be hoping to see Ms Bean and Ms Hilty while they're in T.O. So -- Wednesday, October 25, 2006 8PM, I'll be back at the Canon - E52/53 to see the two Witches. :)
Depending on when the sibling begins her travels, I'll try to time one more performance attendance closer to the middle of November -- the weeknight performances, single seats are still available in the close orchestra sections -- rows A and C? O+O
