slats, dark, and knot


It's watching a taut ribbon
unwind,
freeing the tension within,
in a languorous move
from wooden slats.

A sinuous movement
against a Gordian knot --
near impossible
without patience
and dexterity --
a mild loosening
of inhibition --
as if the dark and the light
had a divine interplay --
of cool air
on silk once more.
