Ponderings on the book...

Just tossing (and recording for my own memory use) an idea --
Whether Gelphie or not, and definitely to take a leap from the canon, but still keeping within canon (does that make sense?) Or at least, the characters better be within canon as we know it! ;)
similar to how
lfae has constructed the drabbles/stories -- pulling a line from the text, and then workin' it...
drabbles -- whether a hundred, or several hundred, or whatever length --
the challenge would be: name a page number, then we'd be writing from a line, or idea, or concept, or conversation/dialogue from that page...
Afterall, Maguire does have some of the best lines out there...
I need to flesh this mental exercise out a bit more, but for example, I'd be looking at p. 151 -- where the 'Charmed Circle' are all at the Peach and Kidney post-Ama Clutch... my favorite line from the page happens to be what I've been writing onto the backs of 52 Christmas card envelopes:
"The melody faded like a storm..." that whole sentence... and I guess the drabble or writing effort would take that line and expand on it - Gelphie or no... :)
Fair game -- Wicked, and less so Son of a Witch - although, again, some throw away lines for both Elphaba and G(a)linda are found there... *shrug* I really must think about this idea some more. Not quite
wicked10 with their use of themes, but it'd be something similar - y'know, some number of page references... whether it'd be a fiver, tenner, or whatnot.
