Borrowing from: [livejournal.com profile] fewthistle's challenge prompt about filling the sentences...

The inside text is 116 words.

In the vague shadows of a growing intimacy, night arrived.

Creeping inwards like a forbidden lover,
clinging to the sodden sheets
like a trophy of soft kisses
and touches that skimmed the surface
of roughened silk
and heated glances.

Every look was a touch,
and each touch danced through the moments
until everything became
a swirl of limbs,
dizzying shades of cream and gold
against ivy and midnight blue -
a marriage of light and dark -
a union of the Sacred and the Wicked -
in stolen moments
hidden away like treasures
to be brought back and savoured
against the pall of loneliness
felt like a mantel of heavy silk -
burdened only with vague memories
of a time long gone and left only with

the memory of you whispered against my lips.
Even my soul is wet.
