I'm not entirely sure where this piece derives itself from.
I'd guess that a rotation of Candide, plus some notes on the vocal range of most singers (some singers?) makes it interesting. Or else, it could just be an analogy for umpteen other things.
Scaling the octaves
with intricate dance steps
that tip-toe
through feelings
left scattered
in a frenzy of excitement.
Everything glistens
and glides
across rough nerves
jangled by the hint
of sound.
Each movement
is a free-flowing
expanse
of expression
that are a combination
of candor and joy
all at once.
It's the nuanced
tones muttered
that provide
the unheard symphony.
Everything coincides
with a crescendo
like a pebble in
the pond,
rippling circles
ever expanding
across smooth surfaces.
