As the evening hours fade
with the dim moonlight,
the hazy mist casts
a pale glow
on two figures
that walk in the light rain.

Heads bent together -
there is no hurry
in escaping
the falling raindrops.

A slow walk
in the rain
ends with
a soft embrace
in a shadowed doorway.
