hesJulia Murney sings a great rendition of Cole Porter's C'est Magnifique on the Broadway By the Year 1953 album/event. You can imagine my surprise (or not) at the reappearance of this song in an advertisement. That it's paired with one of my favourite actresses is a bonus.
ETA: Of course, I just picked up a concert of Patti LuPone's where she sings this song.
The Brand New Heavies cover Cole Porter's song for Lancome's new fragrance: Magnifique.
Anne Hathaway is the spokesperson for this new fragrance. Of course, I didn't even realize that she was the new face for this fragrance until halfway through the yule season where her large eyes were staring back at me in the print advertisements that one sees at the fragrance counters. I was used to seeing Ms Winslet in the Tresor print ads...
