Some observations on flails

Some notes and observations on things lately:
Note 1: Please don't read tone into text on a page or a screen. Many read 'tone' into everything even when they themselves warn against doing so. Do not read intent into text where the text remains just letters on a page. The written word is very much unlike the spoken word. Intonation happens when the ears are listening, not when the eyes are reading.
Note 2: If you're so aggravated with how a poster up-thread is responding (or not responding) to your efforts at belittling, dropping an F-Bomb as a finale is a bit much. Express yourself, don't express yourself - pressing the [post comment] button has never been a restricted right given only to a few people.
Note 3: Just as you demand that we (others) not presume on your experiences as a person(s) within (any group that may be construed as a minority), do not presume that someone else's experiences with that (group that may be construed as a minority) are less valid/important than your own. Hypocrisy is unbecoming in all its colours.
Note 4: Please do not fling the term 'privilege' as if it is the biggest smack-down hammer available. Unless LJ names and/or journals are providing a clear and complete picture of the personality behind the moniker, please refrain from assumptions as to the 'privileges' that might be attributed to anyone. The temptation is to put the whole 'Your (whatever group that might be construed as a majority) privilege is showing' button as a spot on the various flail/fail bingo cards.
At the last time I browsed through various lj user profiles, they rarely are outright saying that I (lj user) am a member of the (various minority/major groups listed herewith), and have (gender orientation and/or preference) and am currently learning/researching/interested in the following (hot button issues). How I as an lj user write and 'sound like' in text form may be incongruous with how my 'real' appearance would suggest. Do not assume that by 'reading between the lines' that anyone has 'sussed out' off-line identity biases that are sublimated into on-line identity biases.
