I need to re-watch Rent as a Wide Screen format.
I'm a bit undecided about how I feel about documentary No Day But Today that are part of the 'bonus' features on the two-disc. I loved the cuts, and I still need to listen to the commentary. Perhaps the documentaries effect (or interest) to me is lessened as I'm not a Rent-head. It had played here in 1997/1998 for an eight month engagement but I never did go see it. *shrug*
I will put it on the list of shows I go see when I go to NYC. Which is a whole different discussion altogether. When in September, that is the question. Les Miz opens for their short run in October, and that would be horribly bad timing (to be away from the cubicles just as year-end audits are falling on us.
Ah, well.
ETA: I now have the Wide Screen copy. :) mmm... ;)
The line traveled downwards
against a landscape
of pale shadows
and pockets of sweat.
Each shift changes
the play
of hard and soft
until everything
is pure sensation.
Looking upwards,
framed by simple need
against a swirl
of confusion.
The moment fades
until the sharp awareness
reminds us
of visceral need.
