Reba McEntire May Head Back to Broadway in Cole Porter Classic

Reba McEntire, who scored a major success when she succeeded Bernadette Peters in Peters' Tony-winning role in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun, may be headed back to Broadway.
The New York Post reports that the Roundabout Theatre Company may produce a revival of Anything Goes for the country star next season. McEntire would play nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, the role created by the late Ethel Merman and later played to much acclaim by Tony Award winner Patti LuPone.
Kathleen Marshall, according to the New York daily, would likely direct. No official announcement has been made about the production, star or director.
