So the Lady Huskies (UConn) won over the Cardinals (Louisville) by a score of 76:54. So congrats to the team. I was a bit of a poofter because I didn't watch the game, and didn't check the score until it was almost over. :)

However, Liza Minnelli was in fine form at the concert/show she did tonight. :) There may be some souvenirs if things turn out ok. :)

I did scribble the first of nine on the train in, and pondered possibilities on the train out. I'm still hoping that I can read my chicken scratch helped by a jolting ride.
So the gentlemen in the blue shirts won (UNC/MSU 89:72) which means that I'll wear my blue shirt tomorrow.

However, the women's game is tomorrow night and I won't be watching any of it unless it runs way past 11PM. Liza Minelli y/y :)
I'm surprised at the early exit and now part of my bracket is skewed... oy.

Women's: No. 12 Ball State 71, No. 5 Tennessee 55
Lady Vols Are Upset in Opener
By JERÉ LONGMAN

Random notes - occasionally I'll probably make a non-theatre related post, and it'll probably be about women's basketball. I'm endlessly fascinated by the college level teams, and on the women's side, I tend to love the fact that two of my favourite teams have played each other so often - UConn Huskies against the Tennessee Lady Vols.

I don't pay attention to the statistics, or the numbers, I just like to watch the games as often as I can. Other teams that I pay attention to: Stanford Cardinals, and because I like the names: North Carolina Tar Heels (I have a shirt), and the Maryland Terrapins.

On the men's game side, I think I've cheered for Kentucky, Gonzaga, and Duke. I'd never heard of Gonzaga until I'd had to write up a review on entertainment law, and read from the Gonzaga review. :: shrug ::

By KAREN CROUSE

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — It happens to every Lady Volunteers basketball player who has gone into coaching. She’ll be railing about a lazy pass in practice. Glaring at a player who failed to box out an opponent. Lecturing how leadership is about being respected, not liked.
