Well. I'd been debating whether I should trek downtown this weekend to take in a performance... but if it's going to play the Panasonic, then my answer is no. Not yet at least. :)

Rock On! After Hit Toronto Run, We Will Rock You Will Close — and Re-Open

We Will Rock You will live again in Toronto, following a 61-week run that ends May 11 at the Canon Theatre. Producer David Mirvish announced May 7 that the show will resume July 16 at Toronto's Panasonic Theatre.

Tickets for the new run will go on sale May 12. The physical production will be somewhat modified to fit the intimate 700-seat Panasonic. The audience will be closer to the action, the creators said. The earlier cast will return to the resuming production.

Although I haven't seen this production, I'm more used to hearing the word fandango in Sondheim's The Miller's Son, or else, being used as a Spelling Bee word at the 25th Annual Puntam County Spelling Bee contest. :)

Toronto Hit We Will Rock You Will Close May 11; Canadian Tour Planned

The Dora Award-winning musical We Will Rock You, in which 32 songs of Queen energize a futuristic story of a world where music is banned, will close at Toronto's Canon Theatre May 11. It will have played more than a year there.
