So, my little box from Kritzerland came yesterday... and there was squeeing and flailing and well actually whatever happened, happened silently, and any Snoopy-esque dances of joy, were... well, unseen and only in my head.
It was much Sondheim all the time. :) The limited (3000 disc?) Evening Primrose recording, I'd heard much of it with the Frogs/Evening Primrose recording.
Anyhow - Charmaine Carr sings Ella on Evening Primrose.
The other Sondheim was Sondheim's 75th Birthday Benefit recording out in San Francisco, which again, the songs have been done before (I think only one track is world premiered) :)
Finally, Dame Julie Andrews sings Sondheim in Putting It Together. Most amusing was her rendition of Getting Married Today. Although, entirely out of context of Company, it's still fun to hear how people have interpreted Sondheim's lyrics. :)
I'm simply going going to xpost these recordings across various places because it's Sondheim, hence I share :D
