When Legally Blonde's national tour hits the road this September, Broadway cast member Becky Gulsvig will be the musical's Chihuahua-toting star.

Producers have announced that Legally Blonde ensemble member Gulsvig – who understudies Tony nominee Laura Bell Bundy in the leading role of Elle Woods – has been cast as the musical's blonde heroine, who has Harvard ambitions. Complete tour casting will be announced at a later date.

Chase and Espinosa Will Join Broadway's Rent Cast

Broadway favorites Will Chase and Eden Espinosa are scheduled to join what will be the final company of Broadway's Rent, which will end its lengthy, award-winning run at the Nederlander Theatre Sept. 7.

Chase, according to a production spokesperson, will join the cast of the Jonathan Larson musical May 5 in the role of Roger; Espinosa will make her Rent debut as Maureen May 30.
